I figured it was semi possible but probably not worth the hassle of not using windows.
I had a kinect 1 running on a PI but that had to be all custom code...

I think the main think that draws me to Lua is the brutal simplicity in the fundamental design of everything but you do need to be able to embrace that ethos.

Just a text editor and a tendency to give functions/variables reasonably unique and consistent names.

I also never use any magic dev tools for refactoring, I hardly even use debugers. Mostly since I often get into situations where they do not work (eg debuging netcode)

That said since I also target emscripten I've chosen to try and only use vanilla Lua 5.1 code and not rely on the FFI

I've been focused on LuaJIT which means any changes since 5.1 are kinda moot. But yes Lua used to be in a bigger state of flux it has calmed down a lot since early 2000s
